Special Agent Austin White has over 20 years service with the Virginia State Police and other public safety agencies. He is currently assigned to the Virginia Fusion Center which is the Commonwealth’s all-crimes/all-hazards intelligence center. There he serves as the Counter-Terrorism Intelligence Unit Liaison Officer. His responsibilities include initiating contact with agents and officers in the intelligence community in addition to federal, state and local law enforcement officers in order to facilitate sharing of information and resources related to domestic and international terrorism. He also serves as the Fusion Liaison Officer program coordinator and Critical Infrastructure/Key Resource program lead agent.

Agent White had previously served on the Executive Protective Unit where he was a shift leader tasked with the protection of the Governor and First Family of Virginia. Serving four Governors, Agent White had the responsibility to coordinate numerous major events at the White House and the United States Capitol as well as multiple events with high profile political leaders and celebrities.

A certified Associate Emergency Manager, he is also currently employed as a technical instructor specializing in mass fatality incident response and emergency services coordination for the Virginia Department of Emergency Management.

Agent White holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Virginia Tech as well as the Advanced Professional Series and Professional Development Series post-graduate certificates from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Emergency Management Institute. Agent White is a graduate of the Executive Protection Institute, a member of the Nine Lives Associates and the Academy of Security Educators and Trainers.
