Executive protection (EP), also known as close protection or personal protection, refers to security measures
taken to ensure the safety of VIPs or other individuals who may be exposed to some personal risk because of their employment,
celebrity status, wealth, associations or geographical location.
Security is a legitimate concern for politicians, celebrities and high-profile executives. These days, many turn to executive protection professionals to navigate threats and keep them out of harm's way. These protectors come from diverse backgrounds; some have law enforcement or military experience, others do not. Training continues to be essential, especially now when executive protection professionals are being asked to do more with less.
