Course Description:

Presented by Executive Protection Institute (EPI) in conjunction with Academy of Security Educators & Trainers (ASET)

The Executive Protection Institute presents this advanced instructor development course to provide the opportunity for you to increase your effectiveness by learning how to:

We focus on facilitating adult learning through environment design, technology and support materials, civil liability for instructors, managing group discussions, facilitator ethics, and so much more. 

The course consists of 40 hours of classroom study with an additional 20 hours of after class work.

 

This program offers two options for credentials:

 

1. VA DCJS General Topics Instructor (VA DCJS 13E):

Meets and exceeds the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (VA DCJS) standards and requirements. Those obtaining a combined evaluation and written examination score of 70% or better will be eligible to apply for a waiver for the 13E registration.

2. The Academy of Security Educators and Trainers (ASET) Certified Security Trainer (CST)

The Academy of Security Educators and Trainers (ASET) has been awarding the CST to exceptional educators and trainers since 1980.  This class is the selection process for the CST and provides an exciting opportunity for accomplished professionals who wish to be a part of the revitalization of ASET.

 

Eligibility / Application Requirements

 

Learn from a highly recognized school and obtain not only a state recognized Instructor Credential but also the highly recognized Certified Security Trainer credential as well!
