Jerry Heying brings a wealth of experience to the table, with over 45 years in the private security and personal protection field. His journey began in 1977, managing the security department of a high-rise building and entertainment facility in midtown Manhattan, a hub for international dignitaries and celebrities. He also served as a team member of a large, high-threat personal protection team for a private family for over eight years, honing his skills and understanding of the industry.

In 1989, Mr. Heying founded the International Protection Group LLC and the International Protective Service Agency, which are multiple state-licensed security and investigation companies specializing in special event security, investigations, and personal protection. In 2009, Mr. Heying purchased the Executive Protection Institute (EPI), where he had been a graduate and instructor since 1996.

Mr. Heying's operational planning and coordination skills have been honed through his extensive domestic and international experience in major events. His work on protective details and special events in over 60 countries, including his role as a personal protection specialist for an ultra-high-net-worth private family, underscores his global competence and the breadth of his experience.

Mr. Heying is a leader in the field, holding key positions and numerous credentials. As a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), a Personal Protection Specialist (PPS), a Certified Security Trainer (CST), and more, he has demonstrated his expertise. His leadership roles as a Certified security driving instructor, a Certified Firearms Instructor, and a Senior Instructor at the Executive Protection Institute (EPI) further attest to his capabilities and influence. He is also a Founding Board Member of the International Protective Security Board (IPSB) and the past Chair of the ASIS Executive Protection Community.
